Any Californians out there with advice about retirement communities, Condos, modular homes under a million dollars without outrageous HOA fees??? Our favorite area in San Diego is Coronando Island and the Silver Strand area (not Imperial Beach--that place is kind of scary!!) We've found some tiny condos for around $700,000 but they have HOA fees of $450 a MONTH. Any advice?
