I only live a mile from where I taught. I plan to enjoy the
fall season this year. Other years, I dreaded school starting.
Don't get me wrong...I loved teaching and the kids, but a
summer hasn't been long enough for me to recuperate the last
several years. I will NOT be subbing. I do plan to go back
and visit; I promised the kids that I would. I will also
learn what it's like to have hobbies again, to bake my own
Christmas cookies, to be a good wife, mother, and daughter
again. Eventually, I plan to do volunteering...maybe for the
literacy program, or some such, but for now, I'm devoting time
to family and revitalizing.
Have you retired, Ginny? If so, what is your plan (or what
have you done)?
