My husband who taught 39 yrs teaching high school government,
American History, and English found a job at our local
community college as a student advisor. He works about 20 hrs
a week and really enjoys it. He brings home many stories
about those prospective students who have been spoon fed and
coddled for 12 yrs suddenly having to realize that in order to
register for classes they have to actually pass placement
tests in those subjects they blew off in high school. They are
dumbfounded!
