Post: In need of your wisdom
Posted by: DR on 10/24/09
Hello! I am currently in my 7th year of teaching and I feel
done with it. I really enjoy the education setting, but
teaching is wearing me down to the point where I'm getting
depressed and dread going to work every morning. I have
thought about doing a literacy coach position or perhaps
going back to school part-time to do school psychology, but
I'm sure there are so many other options out there for me.
I'd hate to leave education, but I am not happy. I am
posting on this board because I'm hoping that one of you
can share with me possible routes to take in my career. I
figure that you've all been in the education system a lot
longer than me and may have a suggestion or two. What else
can I do with a multiple subject teaching credential or a
master's in math curriculum? Thanks!
