Post: Moves and commutes

YEA for Jeannie!!!
I hope your move goes as smoothly as possible. Since you
like the
interim house, maybe it will be the last move for you.
I know you are not missing your morning and afternoon
commutes. I
had a 55+ mile round trip commute myself, so I know what a
good miss
it is. I had to be up at 5:45 AM to be at school by 7:30
AM. I am
not missing that, either. >>>
I thought this might be a good conversation starter for all
our retiree posters. Have you moved from your primary
residence since retiring, like Jeannie did?
Are you finding you drive less/save gas/wear and tear on
the car, etc. since beginning the next and best phase of
life?
I chose not to move, even though I dread the winter at
times. But its really not so bad when you don't HAVE TO go
out in it and drive on the icy roads, but can have your
very own 'snow day', make some hot chocolate, and sit with
your book by the fire. :)
