    Post: Dining out, and travel
    Posted by: ML on 10/25/09

<< life ruled by bells and a school
calendar? I love making my own schedule and from your posts
    it seems you do, too.
Hubby and I have gotten into a routine of going once or
twice a week to a family owned restaurant that has a superb
and varied and delicious buffet. There are NO students in
sight to have to supervise. Life is so good as a retiree.
This next week or next, we plan to go for a day trip to the
    north
and see the fall foliage. Naturally, we'll have to find
    good places
for breakfast, lunch and dinner. >>>

I know some people ate out once a week or more all their
life, but for much of my teaching career I was just too
darn busy, plus I liked to cook once I decided on WHAT TO
    MAKE.
But I have been enjoying trying different restaurants since
my retirement, and getting back to some that now have
become old favorites. We're not talking gourmet everyday
here, lots of chains such as PFChang, BarLouie, Bravo,
TGIF, Uno, Cheesecake Factory, etc... plus a few local
    places that we enjoy.

Where's 'up north' for you, RT1? I'd suggest getting out
there very soon, as the NYState foliage was nearing peak a
week ago when we were there.
We've had early colder days and nights this year, with a
break this past week for a few days of Indian Summer, also
known as "winterize the yard and gardens days". :)
